At Moderlyn, we want you to feel completely confident in your purchase. If something isn't quite right, this page walks you through exactly how our return and refund process works.

Return Window

You have 30 calendar days from the date your order is delivered to request a return. This applies whether you've simply changed your mind or received an item with a defect.

During certain periods, such as the winter holiday season, we may extend this window to give shoppers extra peace of mind. If an extended window is in effect, we'll post the updated dates and details directly on this page.

What Can Be Returned

We accept returns for two situations:

Change of mind: If you no longer want an item and it's still in its original, unused condition, you're welcome to send it back.
Defective or damaged items: If your piece arrives with a manufacturing defect, printing issue, or damage from shipping, we want to make it right.

To qualify for a return, items must be:

Unused and not installed or hung
In their original condition, with no visible wear, scratches, or marks
Complete with all original packaging, hanging hardware, and any tags or labels attached

Items That Cannot Be Returned

Because of the nature of framed and canvas wall art, we're unable to accept returns on:

Items that have been mounted, hung, or altered in any way
Items missing their original packaging, frame components, or hanging hardware
Items returned outside of the 30-day window (or the extended seasonal window, when applicable)
Items showing damage caused after delivery (for example, from improper handling or installation)

Who Pays for Return Shipping

If the item is defective, damaged, or we made an error with your order: Moderlyn covers the full cost of return shipping, and we'll provide you with a prepaid return label.
If you're returning an item simply because you changed your mind (and there's nothing wrong with it): you're responsible for the cost of shipping it back to us.

Either way, we don't charge a restocking fee or any other handling fee — the only cost you'd ever be responsible for is the return shipping cost on non-defective returns.

How to Start a Return

Contact us at service@moderlyn.com or call +1 724-779-1400 within 30 calendar days of delivery, with your order number and a short note on why you'd like to return the item. If the item is defective or damaged, please include a few photos so we can look into it right away.
Wait for confirmation. Our team will review your request and send you return instructions. For defective or damaged items, we'll email you a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you.
Pack the item securely, in its original packaging where possible, and send it to the return address below.
Ship it back to us. Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll follow up by email to confirm your refund.

Return Processing Time

Once your returned item arrives at our facility, please allow 5–7 calendar days for our team to inspect it and process your return.

Refund Timeline

After your return has been inspected and approved, refunds are issued to your original payment method within 3–5 business days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take a few additional days for the refund to appear on your statement.

A Few Other Things to Know

We currently ship within the contiguous United States, and orders of $35 or more qualify for free standard shipping — you can find full shipping details on our Shipping Policy page.
We don't offer custom or made-to-order pieces at this time, so every item in our return process refers to our standard in-stock wall art.
If you received the wrong item or your order arrived damaged in transit, please reach out to us as soon as possible so we can resolve it quickly.
